Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plant6000 GPD / 1000 LPH

Approx. Suitable for 1200–2400 Persons

Product Overview

The 6000 GPD (approximately 1000 LPH) Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant is a high-capacity commercial drinking water purification system designed to meet the daily potable water demand of large institutions and medium-scale communities.

This system is engineered to treat high TDS borewell, tube-well, or municipal water and produce safe, clear, and hygienic drinking water by removing dissolved salts, heavy metals, harmful chemicals, bacteria, and viruses.

Equipped with a 16×65 (1665) FRP pressure vessel in the pre-treatment stage, the plant ensures higher media volume, better filtration efficiency, and enhanced protection of RO membranes, making it suitable for continuous operation in high-demand environments such as factories, educational institutions, hospitals, mosques, hostels, and residential projects serving approximately 1200–2400 people.

Key Technical Specifications

  • Plant Capacity: 6000 GPD (≈ 1000 Liters Per Hour)

  • End Use: Drinking & cooking water

  • Approx. Coverage: 1200–2400 persons (usage dependent)

  • Purification Technology: Reverse Osmosis (RO)

  • Pre-Treatment Vessel Size: FRP 16×65 (1665)

  • TDS Removal Efficiency: Up to 95–98%

  • System Recovery: 40–50% (raw water quality dependent)

  • Operation Mode: Semi-automatic / Fully automatic

System Configuration & Major Units

Pre-Treatment Section

  1. Raw Water Feed Pump

    • Provides stable flow and pressure to the filtration system

  2. Pressure Sand Filter – 1665 FRP Vessel

    • Removes turbidity, sand, silt, and suspended solids

  3. Activated Carbon Filter (ACF)

    • Removes chlorine, color, odor, and organic compounds

    • Protects RO membranes from oxidation damage

  4. Micron Cartridge Filter (5–10 Micron)

    • Fine filtration to prevent particulate fouling of membranes

RO Purification Section

  1. High-Pressure RO Pump

    • Generates the required operating pressure for RO membranes

  2. RO Membrane Housing with High-Rejection RO Membranes

    • Removes dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms

  3. Pressure Gauges & Flow Meters

    • Monitoring of inlet pressure, permeate flow, and reject flow

Post-Treatment & Distribution

  1. RO Treated Water Storage Tank (capacity as per site requirement)

  2. UV Sterilizer / Ozone Disinfection Unit (Optional)

    • Ensures final microbiological safety

  3. Polishing Filter (Optional)

  • Improves taste, clarity, and consumer acceptance

Working Principle (RO Technology)

  • Raw water is first conditioned through sand and carbon filtration to remove physical and chemical impurities.

  • Pre-treated water is then pressurized and passed through semi-permeable RO membranes, which allow only pure water molecules to pass.

  • Purified water (permeate) is collected for consumption, while reject water carrying concentrated impurities is discharged.

Typical Applications

  • Factories & industrial premises (drinking water supply)

  • Schools, colleges & universities

  • Hospitals & clinics

  • Mosques, madrasas & religious institutions

  • Hostels, dormitories & staff housing

  • Residential compounds & commercial complexes

Key Benefits

  • Produces safe, potable drinking water at high volume

  • Efficient removal of high TDS and chemical contaminants

  • 1665 FRP vessel ensures superior pre-treatment performance

  • Protects RO membranes, extending system life

  • Improves water taste, odor, and clarity

  • Reliable operation for continuous, large-scale usage

Operation & Maintenance

  • Regular backwashing of sand and carbon filters

  • Cartridge filter replacement based on pressure drop

  • RO membrane life is typically 2–3 years (water quality dependent)

  • Periodic CIP (chemical cleaning) for membrane performance recovery

  • Routine monitoring of pressure, flow, and product water TDS

Design & Selection Notes

  • Raw water analysis (TDS, iron, hardness, turbidity, chlorine) is mandatory before final sizing

  • An iron removal or softener unit may be required if iron or hardness exceeds acceptable limits

  • Actual output and recovery depend on raw water characteristics

Standard Supply Scope

  • Skid-mounted RO system with MS powder-coated structure

  • 1665 FRP pressure vessel with filter media

  • RO membranes & SS membrane housing

  • High-pressure pump, gauges & flow meters

  • Cartridge filter housing & UV unit (if included)

  • Electrical panel, valves, piping & fittings

  • Installation, commissioning & operator training
