Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plant – 3000 GPD /500 LPH

Approx. Suitable for 600–1200 Persons

Product Overview

The 3000 GPD (approximately 500 LPH) Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant is a commercial-grade potable water purification system designed to produce safe, hygienic, and high-quality drinking water for medium-scale daily consumption.

This RO system is engineered to remove high TDS, dissolved salts, heavy metals, harmful chemicals, bacteria, and viruses from borewell, tube-well, or municipal water sources. It is ideal for supplying purified water to schools, colleges, offices, factories, mosques, hostels, restaurants, hospitals, and residential communities serving around 600–1200 people, depending on usage pattern.

A 1252 FRP pressure vessel is used in the pre-treatment stage, allowing higher filtration media volume and better contact time, which significantly improves raw water conditioning and protects RO membranes for long-term stable performance.

Technical Specifications

  • Plant Capacity: 3000 GPD (500 Liters Per Hour)

  • Application: Drinking & cooking water

  • Approx. Users: 600–1200 persons

  • Purification Technology: Reverse Osmosis (RO)

  • Pre-Treatment Vessel Size: FRP 12×52 (1252)

  • TDS Reduction Efficiency: Up to 95–98%

  • System Recovery: 40–50% (raw water dependent)

  • Operating Mode: Fully automatic/semi-automatic (as configured)

System Components & Process Flow

Pre-Treatment Section

  1. Raw Water Feed Pump

    • Supplies consistent flow and pressure to the system

  2. Pressure Sand Filter – 1252 FRP Vessel

    • Removes sand, dirt, turbidity, and suspended solids

  3. Activated Carbon Filter (ACF)

    • Eliminates chlorine, color, odor, and organic impurities

    • Protects the RO membrane from chemical damage

  4. Micron Cartridge Filter (5–10 Micron)

    • Final fine filtration before the RO membrane

RO Purification Section

  1. High-Pressure RO Pump

    • Generates the required pressure for membrane operation

  2. RO Membrane Housing with RO Membrane(s)

    • Removes dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and microbes

  3. Pressure Gauges & Flow Meters

    • Continuous monitoring of inlet pressure, permeate flow, and reject flow

Post-Treatment & Storage

  1. RO Product Water Storage Tank (capacity as per site requirement)

  2. UV Sterilizer / Ozone System (Optional but Recommended)

    • Final disinfection to ensure microbiological safety

  3. Optional Polishing Filter

  • Enhances the taste and visual clarity of drinking water

Working Principle (RO Process)

  • Raw water first passes through sand, carbon, and cartridge filters to remove physical and chemical impurities.

  • Pre-treated water is then pressurized and passed through a semi-permeable RO membrane, which allows only pure water molecules to pass.

  • Permeate water is collected as drinking water, while reject water containing concentrated impurities is discharged.

Application Areas

  • Offices & corporate buildings

  • Factories & industrial units (drinking water supply)

  • Schools, colleges & training centers

  • Mosques, madrasas & religious institutions

  • Restaurants, canteens & food courts

  • Residential compounds & housing projects

Key Benefits

  • Produces safe and potable drinking water

  • Efficient removal of high TDS and chemical contaminants

  • Protects health by eliminating bacteria and viruses

  • 1252 vessel ensures better pre-treatment efficiency

  • Improves water taste, odor, and clarity

  • Reliable system for medium to large user groups

Operation & Maintenance

  • Regular backwashing of sand and carbon filters

  • Periodic replacement of cartridge filters

  • RO membrane life is typically 2–3 years (based on water quality)

  • CIP (chemical cleaning) as per performance trend

  • Routine monitoring of TDS, pressure, and flow rates

Important Design Notes

  • Raw water testing (TDS, iron, hardness, turbidity, chlorine) is mandatory before final installation

  • An additional iron removal or softener unit may be required if the iron or hardness is high

  • Actual output and recovery depend on raw water quality

Standard Supply Scope

  • Skid-mounted RO system with MS powder-coated frame

  • 1252 FRP pressure vessel with filter media

  • RO membranes & SS membrane housing

  • High-pressure pump, flow meters & pressure gauges

  • Cartridge filter housing & UV unit (if included)

  • Electrical panel, piping, valves & fittings

  • Installation, commissioning & basic operator training
