Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plant – 1500 GPD / 250 LPH

Approx. Suitable for 100–600 Persons (Drinking & Cooking Water)

Product Overview

The 1500 GPD / approx. 250 LPH Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant is a compact yet industrial-grade potable water purification system designed to produce safe, clean, and great-tasting drinking water from borewell, tube-well, or municipal sources.

This system is engineered to remove TDS, dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and chemical contaminants, making it ideal for drinking and cooking purposes in offices, institutions, hostels, factories, mosques, restaurants, and residential communities serving approximately 100–600 people.

The plant incorporates a 1035 FRP pressure vessel for pre-treatment, ensuring stable RO membrane performance, longer membrane life, and consistent purified water output.

Key Technical Specifications

  • Plant Capacity: 1500 GPD (≈ 250 Liters Per Hour)

  • Recommended Usage: Drinking & cooking water

  • Approx. Users: 100–600 persons (consumption dependent)

  • Operating Technology: Reverse Osmosis

  • Pre-treatment Vessel: FRP Vessel 10×35 (1035)

  • Recovery Rate: 35–50% (water quality dependent)

  • TDS Reduction: Up to 95–98%

  • Operating Pressure: As required by RO pump & membrane type

System Configuration & Major Components

Pre-Treatment Section

  • Raw Water Feed Pump – Supplies consistent pressure to the system

  • Pressure Sand Filter (1035 FRP Vessel)

    • Removes turbidity, sand, silt, and suspended solids

  • Activated Carbon Filter (ACF) (if required)

    • Removes chlorine, odor, color, and organic impurities

  • Micron Cartridge Filter (5–10 Micron)

    • Final protection before the RO membrane

RO Membrane Section

  • High-Pressure RO Pump – Generates the required pressure for the RO process

  • RO Membrane Housing with RO Membrane

    • Removes TDS, salts, heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses

  • Flow Meters – Monitor permeate (pure water) and reject flow

  • Pressure Gauges – Monitor inlet & outlet pressures

Post-Treatment & Storage

  • Product Water Storage Tank (raw or treated water tank, site dependent)

  • UV Sterilizer / Ozonation (optional) – Final disinfection

  • Optional Polishing Filters – Taste and clarity enhancement

How Reverse Osmosis Works

  1. Pre-filtration: Raw water passes through sand, carbon, and cartridge filters to remove physical impurities and chlorine.

  2. RO Separation: Pressurized water is forced through a semi-permeable RO membrane that allows only water molecules to pass, rejecting dissolved salts, bacteria, viruses, and contaminants.

  3. Product & Reject:

    • Permeate: Purified drinking water

    • Reject: Concentrated impurities flushed to drain

Applications & Typical Users

  • Offices & corporate buildings

  • Factories & industrial units (drinking water only)

  • Mosques, madrasas & religious institutions

  • Schools, colleges, hostels & coaching centers

  • Restaurants, canteens & commercial kitchens

  • Residential communities & housing societies

Primary Benefits

  • Produces safe, potable drinking water meeting health standards 💧

  • Removes high TDS, heavy metals & microbes

  • Improves taste, odor, and clarity

  • Protects the health of large groups of users

  • Compact design with reliable performance

  • Low operating cost with proper maintenance

Operation & Maintenance

  • Periodic filter media backwash (sand & carbon filters)

  • Cartridge filter replacement based on pressure drop

  • RO membrane life: Typically 2–3 years (water quality dependent)

  • Chemical cleaning (CIP): As required by performance trend

  • Routine monitoring of TDS, pressure & flow rates

Design & Selection Notes

  • Water Test Mandatory: TDS, hardness, iron, turbidity, and chlorine must be analyzed before final design

  • Iron / Hardness Issues: Pre-treatment must be adequate to protect the RO membrane

  • Recovery & Output: Actual output depends on raw water quality and operating conditions

Standard Supply Scope

  • RO skid-mounted system with MS powder-coated frame

  • FRP Pressure Vessel 1035 with filter media

  • High-pressure RO pump & membrane housing

  • RO membranes, flow meters & pressure gauges
