| Stage | Cartridge Type | Function |
| 1st Stage | Popular PP Sediment Filter (Polypropylene) | Pre-filtration. Removes large suspended solids like dirt, rust, sand, and silt. This protects the more sensitive later stages, especially the RO membrane, from clogging. |
| 2nd Stage | Ecosoft GAC Filter (Granular Activated Carbon) | Pre-treatment. Uses carbon granules to adsorb chlorine, bad taste, odors, and certain organic chemicals (VOCs). Removing chlorine is crucial as it can damage the RO membrane. |
| 3rd Stage | Ecosoft CTO Filter (Carbon Block) | Enhanced Pre-treatment. A compressed block of activated carbon for finer filtration. It removes remaining chlorine, residual odors, tastes, and smaller particles not caught by the GAC, offering better protection for the RO membrane. |
| 4th Stage | Vontron RO Membrane | Primary Purification. The heart of the system. This semi-permeable membrane uses pressure to force water through its microscopic pores, rejecting up to 99% of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), including heavy metals, salts, bacteria, and viruses. |
| 5th Stage | Ecosoft T&O Filter (Taste and Odor – typically a Post-Carbon filter) | Polishing. Often a smaller In-Line Activated Carbon filter (like the white cartridge labeled T33). It removes any lingering tastes or odors that the water may have picked up while stored in the RO tank, giving the water its final “polish” before consumption. |
